What does "Omnipresence" mean? You may reply almost automatically "Everywhere present at the same time." But what is my relationship to this Omnipresence? Do I have a separate existence? Not really, only Omnipresence exists --the divine Mind constituting Itself everywhere, on all planes of consciousness, in terms of perfection. Am I perfect? Yes, I am. My spiritual identity is perfect. I am created in the image and likeness of Perfection. What is my vision in relation to myself? I see many faults, many failings, many omissions and commissions. But because I have no separate existence I am in a dreamland. I am imagining all kinds of things taking place, not in my life because that is God's life, but in my ignorance. We are all in different states of awareness of who we are and who we are not. To understand the Truth about myself I look into Mind, not into my intellect. My intellect depicts the present nuance of my understanding of Self and is observing the broken picture of ignorance. But what is Self, Which is ever impinging Itself on my intellect, revealing Itself to me through Its ideas? I see Wholeness, Perfection, Health, Harmony --the attributes of the Creator. I cannot find any picture within Mind of poverty or disease or discord. I ask Mind "Is this Your will for me as Your expression, or must I first suffer, carry a cross, go through all sorts of trials and tribulations, poverty, disease and unhappiness?" Mind replies, "What is poverty? What is disease? What is unhappiness? I cannot comprehend these qualities. I am perfect, so you are perfect." Yet the task is for me to accept and realise this great Truth. If I want sound muscles I have to work, to exercise, every day. If I want to play the violin I must practise for much of each day. This is Law. So I use Law to raise my consciousness towards the perfection of Mind. I cease to focus on my problems because the more I look at them the more they appear to build up. My intellect resists, says to me "How can you say you have no hunger while you feel hunger pains?" Consider an operation done under local anaesthetic. The scalpel is cutting you open but you do not know any pain. Why do you not feel pain? Because the anaesthetic has isolated your consciousness from the site of the operation. I speak from experience when I tell you that you can effectively deny all negation as unreal, as a lie, and affirm perfection. As with pain, just so with unhappiness, with poverty. They are not real things because they are not comprehended by Mind, by God. They are a state of lackawareness in you, lack of the presence of God. Mind, God, cannot under any circumstances be sick, or poor, or unhappy. I talk to God, Mind within me, because He is All-knowledge, and I say "I see your beauty, your radiance within me. I see a happy, whole body, full of love, receiving and giving. Your will be done through me, for me and as me." And then I stand aside. And what has happened to me? More health poured into my body. I was happier, became more prosperous. All the channels to my fulfilment opened for me. I have discovered over a lifetime that the greatest prayer is "Thy will be done." I say it without any wavering that it could bring me either plenty or poverty, health or sickness, joy or unhappiness. Omnipresence is always whole, like a circle, without beginning and without end, in me as me. So is Omnipresence in me as me, and Omnipotence in me as me. I cannot become detached from this Circle, and It is always and only Good. A person who comes to me and says "I am poverty stricken. What shall I do about it?" Should I say to them "Bear your cross. You must suffer before you are uplifted?" If the person's response is "Is that all the consolation you can give me?" must I say "Never mind, when you pass on and go to heaven you will find security?" Will not the person be justified by arguing "But I want to eat now, not when I die. I want to pay my bills now, not escape from them through death. I want fulfilment here and now, not in a mythical heaven." Let me tell you what the Master would say to him: "This day is the only day that your Father knows. In this day, now, is health, and happiness, and security. Accept it." How do you accept it? Look into Mind within you, look into the pictures, the ideas, of God impacting on your consciousness. See what God sees, not what your intellect sees, what humanity about you appears to depict. Then identify yourself with Mind, affirming that It is you, the true you, not going-to-be you but already you. Say "Here I am, God fulfilled." Do not compartmentalise God by imagining that He may be your health but not your happiness, or your happiness but not your security. God comes forth as light, undiminished and undivided by any darkness. I say to myself "Just think of it --I live and move and exist because of this Mind. It knows no error, nothing of a negative nature, but only Itself, and It says to me 'Behold My beloved child in whom I am well pleased. My beloved expression who is expressing My life, My love, My security, My prosperity.'" Sadly humanity has been conditioned, has conditioned itself, to regard negation as its lot: "It is fortunate to have enough to pay for my meals, to have a little extra, to be happy and healthy. I do not really deserve it. It may not last." Some think the Master and other great spiritual masters were poor. They were not poor. They had only to speak the word to bring forth all they needed whenever they needed it. It does not mean that because you do not have money in your pocket today that you are poor. In Truth you are prosperity, you are health, you are happiness. Get on your feet and walk, open your mouth and talk, open your hands and give. These are the instruments of God. Are you afraid that "It may not work" or "I may fall down" or "Anything could happen?" Your intellect would warn you not to do things where the results are not guaranteed by worldly experience. But Mind says "Judge right judgment" and right judgment is only in terms of Good. My prayer for you is not for suffering, but Oneness, or unity, within your spiritual Self. I identify myself with you. I am healthy and happy and secure, and I am you. You are me. We are the one Presence of God, the one divine Mind fulfilling Itself. Problems remain because we invite them to remain. Our emotional body is fixed to the problem. We retain this consciousness of separation from Good and of course the problem continues to appear. It is like the wrong upbringing of children where we spoil them instead of teaching them to become self-reliant. Help someone to open up their consciousness and they will develop it for ever greater realisation of what they truly need and desire. When Job lamented "The thing which I have greatly feared has come upon me" he confirmed the results of the have-not consciousness. Is it not a lesson for us all? Job's fortunes rose, fell and rose again. If we are still living in the consciousness of separation or "sin" can we not come back, return to our Father? The moment we get back into the light it is light, not dark. We cannot bring darkness back with us into light. So think about it. I am in this circle without beginning and end. I cannot be removed from it and the whole circle is permeated with the Presence of God-mind, perfect Mind, which we may condense in ourselves like droplets from water vapour all around us. I can sit in my car all day long and it will not move. I can pray until I am blue in the face. And then, when I turn the key to start it, it does not say to me "Are you a Christian (or whatever)?" It says: "Here I am in action." It is not blasphemy to say that God is an unfailing servant to all those who accept and acknowledge only His presence, thereby realising His unlimited Good. His presence is like Aladdin's lamp --It has got to be rubbed. I ask myself in the early hours and in the course of every day: "Dear Father, I cannot measure my consciousness of You. I cannot say I have this or that amount of faith, but I can measure my awareness of You through love. I know that I love You with all my heart and I will do whatever my heart tells me to glorify you." This I can assess --my relationship with God, whether I am in tune or out of tune. But faith --who knows how much faith they have or how much they really believe? Make your faith the praising of God and letting His will be done with as much trust as you are able to give. Your faith will grow itself. God is Love, and if your heart is in tune with Love and if you radiate this Love, whatsoever you truly desire, when you pray, that is when you give thanks and let go in trust, so it is done unto you. This is effective prayer, the right way to pray -- acknowledgment that you live and move and have your being in Omnipresence, Omnipotence, Omniscience. Not for a billionth of a second can It be separated from you. It pours Itself out for you according to the size of the channel you have made in yourself for It. Is your channel like a dripping tap or are you conscious of the infinite reservoir that would flood your life with fulfilment and abundance in every aspect? Make up your mind "Who am I? What am I? I am the Presence of God, His presence of Good, the Presence of Love fulfilled. The harmony in my mind, the love in my heart, and the strength in my body are God expressing in me." We are temples of the living God. At this moment all that God is, or ever can be, is you and is me. If you declare this and in trust let His will be done, "Behold I will make all things new and set you free."
